Build a feature for an Opencart Website

We have an open cart website in which we want to add the feature that is available on this link [login to view URL] The product is divided into three different sections and you can change the color of any section and see its preview instantly. In addition to this, what more we need that this link does not have is that you can then add the product to cart. The admin area should show the colors chosen for each part of the product. Also new products can be added and admin can choose how in how many parts the product should be divided. (like the given example has the product divided in three parts. It can also be divided in just 1, 2, 4 or more parts). Feel free to ask for questions/clarifications. Need a solution that will work across all browsers and platforms such as tablets, iphones, PCs and Macs as the open cart site will work everywhere.
