We are looking for an Assistant Creative Director with a major focus on social media, sports, fashion, nutrition, and lifestyle to join our in-house Social Team. The ideal candidate will have experience strategizing creative concepts from start to end while creating visual assets for a variety of existing and emerging social media platforms. In this role, you’ll be required to conceptualize and create photo-driven assets, motion graphics, GIF’s, Snaps, Instagram Stories, infographics, and more to create or enhance storytelling across platforms.
Responsibilities:
•Assist in leading creative strategy and execution for the social media dept.
•Leverage a strong background in graphic design and photo-editing to establish a cohesive and unified visual approach across Spartans social media platforms
•Stay up to date on social media design best practices and trends, and interpret them in a brand-appropriate way
•Develop platform-specific approaches for visually-driven forums, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat
•Source images and create custom multimedia designs, leveraging strong typography and graphics skills
•Respond to data and performance metrics and use those to inform visual strategy decisions
Requirements:
•A minimum of 2 years of experience with visual and interactive design, including graphic design, some video editing, all social media platforms
•A love of digital storytelling and social media
•A strong understanding of how to tell a powerful story through visuals; a keen eye for visual integrity and quality visual storytelling
•Strong command of digital design tools including the Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to PhotoShop, InDesign, Lightroom, Premiere
•Create innovative multimedia visual storytelling with photography assets, on-brand typography, and video
•Experience in a startup environment, agency or other arena where the ability to translate ambiguous concepts to concrete actions plans is key
•Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn
