Big Commerce 2

(Request Domain Name) We have already moved over to the Big Commerce solution after evaluating a few solutions. I say moved over to it as I have done most of the data entry and setup of our products. It is up and running since November of last year. The Pro Stores store is still up concurrently with the new one. We have faced some challenges with the Big Commerce store. Shipping Issues: 1. We are having issues with shipping calculations being exceedingly high others inaccurately low, they force you to hard select in the shipping setup Residential or Commercial. Even though I have forced users to create an account prior to checking out to provide this information. There doesn't seem to be a means to verify what the ship location type is within the pre-made solution therefore the make you hard set it. Which makes a lot of situations where we are having to manually refund sales and possibly loosing sales to overstated shipping in some cases. 2. Need to have control over what items are available to ship with certain carriers as well limit what type of shipping service. For instance we have fluids that ship ORMD that have to ship UPS ground only. We are also not certified to ship overseas with these particular products so there needs to be control to limit shipping by product type. There is no means to control the store in this fashion. 3. We also sell large items (large format printers), Shipping within the US we can cover free shipping on these items. Outside the US we need to insure that we do not provide free shipping, some of the smaller ones can be shipped standard delivery. Most are shipped via large freight. The solution so far for this issue is to not offer these printers online, which really is not a solution at all. Tax Calculation: 1. The auto tax calculator is not always accurate, not certain what is going on there. Big Commerce says they are working on it.
