Mapping/GIS Programming

Various Mapping/GIS Applications I require a coder experienced in GIS or map programming to perform the following tasks. 1. Investigate the feasability of implementing any of the open source GIS packages on a linux based PDA. The end results of the investigation will be either a limited function implementation with a complete list of remaining work or a complete description of why the implementation is not possible. 2. Investigate the feasability of implementing any of the open source GIS packages on a Linux based web server for use by multiple users to view asset locations via the web. The end results of the investigation will be either a limited function implementation with a complete list of remaining work or a complete description of why the implementation is not possible. 3. Investigate the feasability of implementing any of the available Java based GIS tools for use as a portable GIS package. The desired goal would be to have a multi-platform package. The end results of the investigation will be either a limited function implementation with a complete list of remaining work or a complete description of why the implementation is not possible. I would consider splitting these tasks up into seperate jobs if a coder is interested in only some of the work. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site). ## Platform Linux, Windows, PocketPC
