This is essentially a small Document Management System, with support for uploading, downloading, user class management, file versioning and upload notification. Files are presented in table format. ## Deliverables This is essentially a small Document Management System. ## Function Site is split into three main areas. * 1. First area lists the latest version of each company's project documents, one document for each company. The documents are listed in table form, with columns for: the name of the project, the council in charge of the project, the manager of the project (see users below), the developer in charge (see users below), some brief notes (around 100 chars max), and whether the document has been reviewed or not. Project documents are hosted in zip format. * 2. Second area contains five sections, all related to the software associated with the projects on the first page. * 2.1. The first section, available to all user classes below, lists the current version of the main software application for download. Software is listed in table format, with columns for the software component name, its function, and the number of the current version. * 2.2. The second section, available to Manager, Developer, Administrator user classes below, lists the Data Models to be used with the software. The data models are listed in table format, with columns for the model name, its function, and the number of the current version. * 2.3. The third section, available to Manager, Developer, Administrator user classes below, lists the Model Support Documentation to be used with the software. The support documentation items are listed in table format, with columns for the Support Documentation name, its function, and the number of the current version. * 2.4. The fourth section, available to Manager, Developer, Administrator user classes below, lists Additional Support Documentation to be used with the software. The Additional Documentation items are listed in table format, with columns for the Documentation name, its function, and the number of the current version. * 2.5. The fifth section, available to Manager, Developer, Administrator user classes below, lists the Workbooks to be used with the software. The Workbooks are listed in table format, with columns for the Workbook name, its function, and the number of the current version. * 3. Third area lets users upload new versions of the documents that are shown in the first and second areas (above). The user selects the document type they want to upload, to a maxiumum file size of 10MB, and then completes the file information depending on which file type they want to upload (according to the columns listed above) * 4. Fourth area lets some users submit a troubleshooting form. In the tables above, where 'version information' is shown, the user can click on the version entry in that column, and a pop-up lists the prior versions, changes and updates made to that document. ## Versioning and Notification When a new document is uploaded, the administrator is notified by email. The administrator must then approve the new document, and the document is not visible until the administrator has approved the document. If they approve it, the document gets listed in the relevant area, above. The previous version and the relevant metadata of that document are archived. A progress bar would be useful for the uploading stage, but this is not mandatory. Site appearance to be controlled using CSS style sheets. ## Users All users, except Administrator, must register using a standard login/registration form. Users must agree to a Terms of Service statement before registration can complete. The registration form then sends a confirmation link to the user via email, which the user must click on in order to complete registration. of the three areas above - they are given the option to log in or register. * There are four user classes: General User, Manager, Developer, Administrator * All user classes can view the first area (1. shown above) and download the project documents shown in that area. * All user classes can view the first section of the second area (2.1 shown above) and download the software tools shown in that area. * Only Manager, Developer, Administrator classes can view the second, third, fourth and fifth sections of the second area (2.2 - 2.5 shown above) and download the documents shown in those areas. * Managers are the only users allowed to upload new project documents. * Developers and Administrators are the only users allowed to submit a troubleshooting form (section 4 above). * All new users are classed as General Users by default. Administrators can then move users to different user groups (e.g. General User to Keeper or Manager, or back again). Ideally, I'd prefer a script set that works within an established CMS (such as Joomla, for example). This is not mandatory, however. ## Additional Notes 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Entirely web-based - Apache, PHP, MySQL on a Debian Linux server. Shared host environment. To be accessed in MSIE, Firefox and Opera.
