Hi, I have been developing websites with Joomla since 2008. I'm also experienced in webscraping and Amazon API which could come in handy for your order tracking functionality. For this project I would sugest the use of a Joomla 3.3 extension called Seblod. With Seblod you will be able to define content types (order requests, exchange rates for instance) and for each content type create a capture form, search forms and lists. This will allow you to define your entire workflow and back-office to process the orders. Seblod makes use of Joomla standard access rights which will allow you to define what register users can access and what is restricted to staff/ administrator for instance. I have developed a number of sites with Seblod, some of them via freelancer.com. I suggest you check my reviews.
