I want two Java applications. One that acts as a client and the other which acts as a server. Both programs should have a Swing interface. The client should be able to connect to the host via IP address and port number. I want the basic architecture of this to be as follows: have the server implement different functionalities (more of which could easily be added at a later time) which can be called with "action code". This would let the server control the client.

The client should be able to connect to the server via IP address and port number. The server must listen for the client on a specified port. The client computer should be able to have filesystem access to the server computer. The client should be able to send messages to the server computer that will popup in a message box. The client computer should be able to execute files on the server computer. Both applications must be written in pure Java (no extra stuff like microsoft libraries that only work on windows) Must work cross-platform (Win, Mac, UNIX, etc.) Must include basic instructions on what was coded (well commented code would be sufficant)I will need the source code!
