Create a client-server application to: 1) create/edit/load/save seating charts. a. Seating chart is basically a grid. b. Seating chart may be for 1 or more sections. b. each section will have rows, each row will contain seats. Rows and seats will be either 1,2,3,4 or A,B,C, or AA, BB, CC or 1,3,5 or 2,4,6. 2) take a list of "parties" and assign seats to previously created seating charts. This will be a muti-step process: a. Start new seat assignment process or load existing one. b. select seating charts (maybe more than 1) if necessary. c. Load list of parties from server (plus current seat assignments if any) d. black-out unavailable seats e. drag-n-drop parties onto seats and/or automatically have seats assign by application using an algorithm to be provided. f. save seat assignments on server. Server will be in Perl (preferred) or PHP with Mysql. Server code will be rewritten to integrate into an existing application. DB schema will be provided. More detailed specs given to selected coder. In your bid please include a summary of your approach to this project and what technologies you would use. URLs with examples of previous work that may be applicable to this project.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
