To enable customers of the website to design a bespoke vinyl wallpaper online with a drag and drop feature, before checking out and ordering their product. The technical solution will be based on an open-source CMS product, which will provide the end-user with all the information they need (including costs) based on the dimensions and images chosen.
The project is likely to be developed in phases; the following sections will detail distinct requirements and a suggested implementation plan.
Successful designer will be responsible for wire framing, software development and configuration, as well as the HTML and CSS to implement the design provided by my self with guidance from successful website designer
Phase 1
Initial site build, including design (supplied by third party)
Login / Registration
Saving and retrieving multiple bespoke designs
Checkout and Payment gateway
The System will need to automate the users design into a finished print-ready PDF
All orders to be reviewed by CMS admin before progressing to the print stage (known as ‘pending’ orders)
CMS Admin can view orders and pending orders
More details can be sent in the functionality of the site and a step by step guide through the process.
after testing has been completed the next phase need to progress. A milestone payment will be transferred to you once completion of this phase.
Phase 2
1. Customer has the ability to upload own images to use amongst a selected Asset Group
This includes the set-up of a separate place to store images before they are virus scanned
All images will be stored securely to ensure they cannot be accessed over the web, this includes search engines
Users cannot do this if they are not logged in / registered
Customers will have the ability to delete images they have uploaded themselves, but will be advised by site wording not to do so until the wallpaper has been printed. If they are deleted, all references to the image will also be removed
2. Customer can add wording to their designed wallpaper
Users can pick a font and enter some wording. This wording can then be over-layed onto their designed wallpaper
This will appear in a straight line, not curved
3. System needs to automate the users images and design into a finished print-ready file
4. All orders using customers own imagery will be reviewed by CMS admin before progressing to the print stage (known as ‘pending’ orders)
--An extra system flag will be required to differentiate between ‘pending’ orders in phase 1, and the ‘pending orders with customer imagery’ in Phase 2.
5. Customer will be contacted if the imagery supplied is not of print quality
--This will all be handled outside the system, but the CMS Admin will need the ability to see a list of customers who have created orders but not submitted them
6. Expiry dates will need to be configured for the storage of users imagery – including reminder emails (to be configurable).
--We will create 2 email templates (one HTML and one plain text) that can be passed parameters, such as dates, customer name etc
--When images reach their expiry date they will be deleted along with any references to it e.g. if a photo image has been added to a wallpaper it will be deleted from the draft wallpaper.
--Only images that have not been submitted for printing / approval will be subject to the expiry process
7. Set up & sending of reminder email
8. Customers warned that if they upload a image that they have the right to use this image and we are not responsible for copy write images, we will assume they have the rights to use images
A milestone payment will be made but under no circumstances will any advanced payments be made until the completion on the 1st phase. a complete check on your previous work is required and checked.
I will own the rights to the site and code and you will agree that the site cannot be used for any other project the same nature in the same industry or for any other site without consulting me.
