2D Tile Art for Online Game

Seeking talented 2D artist to create tiles for our "zelda style" online game AWAKEN [login to view URL] This is not a full time position, rather a contract job. Tiles shall be 24x24 pixels in size and can be mixed and matched to create many different styles of location maps. Maps will be 22x16 tiles large but artist is not required to make the maps. Only create the individual tiles that make up the maps. We have a custom tool we will use to generate each map. Locations include swamps, open fields, rivers, lake shore, trees, buildings, paths, doors, caves, exterior and interior buildings, rooms, ... many more. (Detailed requirements for each location will be provided) Mostly dark locations, seemingly at night or dusk (not bright daylight) Open to artist suggestions for different styles of locations. Require 250 tiles for this initial project bid request. Tiles shall be numbered 1-250 and also include avatars (characters) both male and female also 24x24 pixels in size against transparent background (animated if possible) Similar tiles shall be able to be able to be connected smoothly together so that lines or seams are hidden. (i.e. grass should flow to be able to create an open field) Tiles shall be in .PNG or .BMP format. If work is solid, it may lead to future tile/sprite creation at the same rate. *NOTE: Artists with game tile making experience preferred as it is tricky to create smooth flowing tiles. Awaken is a dark and visceral massive multiplayer online world that is wrapped in a mature gothic mythos. Locations shall be grouned in reality, but have a dark surreal look to them. (i.e. [login to view URL] = grass, [login to view URL] = river edge right, ...) 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) Format shall be .BMP or .PNG for each tile (this is subject to change but will only change PRIOR to work beginning) 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform .BMP or .PNG (subject to change but will only change prior to start of work)
