I have worked with multiple WordPress sites previously and can assure you that I am the right guy for the job. According to your description, all you need is to go to the themes folder in the source code and comment the required div and then recompile the code.(May also be done directly by the theme editor depending on the div). It will depend exactly on the div to be edited but I can assure you that it shouldn't take more than a day(I assume just a couple of hours will be needed to find the right bit of code , comment it and the edit css accordingly).
