Check writing module

FUNCTIONALITY IN GENERAL: The check writing module needs to fulfill the same role as, and include similar behaviors and functionality to, the check writing components included in QuickBooks, Peachtree and other similar visual accounting packages. This would include at least the following three major functions: 1. ALLOW THE USER TO VISUALLY APPLY A CHECK/PAYMENT TO BILLS/VOUCHERS 2. PRINT VARIABLE CONTENT TO PRE-PRINTED CHECKS 3. RECORD THE PAYMENT LINES IN A DATABASE RANDOM TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: The following is a somewhat but not entirely random list of key technical requirements • The module back end needs to be written in PHP • The module front end needs to be written in HTML/CSS/JavaScript • The GUI needs to be compatible with (or revisable to) the Bootstrap v 2 framework — i.e. minimalism is better than incompatible CSS slickness. • The print function needs to be based on the open source library FPDF v 1.7 • The checks need to print to 8.5" x 11" Laser Multi-purpose voucher checks (LMP100/LMP12) INTEGRATION: The module needs to be a peer application (and would ultimately be integrated a tab on the billing interface). With the very limited exception of SSO, App does not have an API in the sense of a SOAP or REST service.
