Hi there,
Look, I remember when I first started learning how to program. It was fun until I got stuck on some [now trivial] issue and google searches seemed to bring more confusion than answers. What I'm offering you is an opportunity to pick my brain anytime you need help for 10 days. To make those 10 days really worth your while, we should discuss what you already know, what you would like to know, and we can workout some sort of lesson plan to work with our 10-day window. You said something about wanting to deploy via FTP but being too scared you might ruin things? I'll show you how to use GIT instead of FTP, which is great because you can roll-back any updates among other things. I suggest we augment the lessons with a simple web app that will help you understand how 90% of all web apps function. One thing I know is that people don't just decide to learn programming for no reason. It's usually because they have an idea(s) they want to execute. We'll make our little demo app inline with your goal so that in the end you have a general sense of what it's going to take to make your ideas work in the real world.
Hope to hear from you.
