Create a Wordpress Template

Create a template for a website in wordpress, resulting in half of the page with a google map and the other half with entries about places in a city. The functionality should be similar to airbnb but is not intended for apartments. Instead of apartments, different categories of places will listed. Typically a photo and a text should be shown in the entry about the places. All places visible on the map should be listed (one per "line" or rather a text box) on the left half of the page. On mouse hover over a corresponding text box, a location needle on the map should be highlighted (differnet needle colors for different categories). On click on a location needle on the map, the left side should jump to the corresponding listing. The top should feature a logo and a menu, where other pages, e.g. a blog can be accessed. Below, in a second line, the different categories with checkboxes (limiting what is listed on the map and in the actual listing) are shown. In the backend, it should be simple to enter new places. Ideally, one should click on something like "new place" and gets to page with a standard editor window and different fields for coordinates and category. Everything else is automatized. Other solutions can be discussed. As front page, a page with logo should be shown, where just different cities (or regions) can be selected (no map here). On click, one should jump to the above-described layout with the map, zoomed e.g. to show the complete city.
