What I understand is you need below: • If you need to refresh the XML links every few minutes then the excel file must be kept open. • Note something an excel macro can’t run when the excel file is closed. The trick is to trigger a macro when the close button is hit. So if you want, your macro could run only when the close button is hit. • A logic need to be developed based upon the value changes which will trigger the auto email. • Once above is triggered excel will invoke the Outlook to send emails.
