Calculate Distance from Latitude & Longitude

We have a website: [login to view URL] From this page, click on Latitude & Longitude Map Grid Trace. We wish to change this function to allow for the input of both the Latitude and Longitude coordinates (decimal format only) separately: [Example: Latitude: 34.05 - Longitude: 118.23] and display all locations which match this input. Secondly, this page which already exists as [login to view URL] has columns ready to display the distance to each location in the table from the exact lat & log input, in both miles and kilometers. Note that on this page, above the table is space for the input to be displayed. There are subsequent pages [dlatlog3 & 4] after a visitor selects the location, that will then retain the location selected, and the lat & log of the location. From dlatlog4 - click Map Grid Trace. This begins with the Base Map Grid, and 8 additional map grid options. All of these pages (9) require the distance calculation in miles and kilometers from the selected location. All pages are completed...this is a memory variable function; we have attached latlognotes which will explain how to do this on a desktop, using FoxPro. The MySql databases are on the server.
