Description: We will create a system that will help with selective garbage collection. We will make a structure at the selective collection points that already exist, and the garbage taken in bags will be converted into points. A scale will be placed around the trash can, and the weight of the trash will impact the number of points you will receive. Everything will be measured in kilograms, making points easier to acquire. A QR code will be made available by the aforementioned scale, and the person will simply have to read this code with their application. With that, points will automatically be credited to your account, making the process much easier and more attainable. These points can later be exchanged for actual money, allowing our users to exchange their trash for money!
The system:
Each collection point will have a sensor and a scale so that when the bin is full, an automatic message will be sent to the company responsible for the logistics of the garbage, in this case, Kombosa Seletiva, with the location of the bin for when they perform the collection. The garbage can at the collection point will also have a scale to calculate the amount of garbage that each user is discarding. For example, user "b" has 5 kg of plastic in their house. They decide to use our app and will be able to use a tool in our app to find the closest collection point to their residence. When they arrive at the collection point, they will scan a QR code that will be next to the trash can. The user's application will then connect with the respective trash can, and the amount of garbage that this user is discarding will be calculated through the scale, the difference between the amount of garbage that was before and the amount that remained after garbage disposal. The quantity of trash discarded will be converted into points that later can be converted into actual money by the user.
