Hello, I am needing to enhance my PineScript indicator.
This is a multi time frame indicator.
This indicator has a custom function which uses "security" function to determine a value from a higher time frame. (the higher timeframe is a multiple of the current time frame).
This function is called 4 times, each for plotting a unique colored value representing a different higher timeframe.
I planed to use this for a strategy and alerts.. However, there are issues with repainting (because the pinescript security function when called for higher time frames has repainting issues). I have tried everything, from barmerge.lookahead_off, [login to view URL], etc...
Therefore, what I believe is needed is to create the multi timeframe indicator without using the security function. That is, the function will Not use the "security" function, but instead it will create a synthetic higher timeframe bar from the current timeframe bars, and do calculations from this "calculated higher timeframe bar"
The indicator project is 38 lines of code.
The function is 10 lines of code.
I am open to suggestions. I believe the idea of reworking the function is the best way to avoid repainting.
The goal of the project is to have an accurate multi time frame indicator that doesn't repaint a closed bar.
