Python Script to Importing xlsx/csv data into postgres sql To be consider the following 1. Import all the Files .xls / .xlsx/csv files only in the folder and all sheet in the file 2. Set path of folder and read only all the sheet in files File name + sheet name is table name for exemple file name is Sample - Superstore for Tableau 9.x [login to view URL] and sheet name is Orders Returns People Sheet4 Then the Table name in postgresql will be like this Sample_SuperstoreforTableau9_xversions_Orders Sample_SuperstoreforTableau9_xversions_Returns Sample_SuperstoreforTableau9_xversions_People (removed Space and REPLACE ‘.’ and ‘-’ with ‘_’ and remove the file extention) 3. If any field name is duplicate then add the counter with field name for exemple address address Then the field name will like this address0 address1 4. Delete any row whrere until Cell Ist. is empty 5. Top row in Sheet are fields name 6. Empty Sheet not neet to import in Postgressql Note* : If there is any space in filename remove that space & any special character will replace with _ in case of filename and field names
