GGIR is an R package for the analysis of research-grade wearable movement sensor data. It is popular in the health research community: https://CRAN.R-project.org/package=GGIR . To sustain GGIR I work as independent consultant ([login to view URL]), which entails developing new features or helping researchers to implement GGIR in their research. I am now looking for help to improve the code quality, such as: making code more readable, shortening functions, addressing code redundancy, improving test coverage, finding speed bottle necks, and providing sufficient guidelines to contributors. What I need done: 1. Code review where you provide me with suggestions on how to improve a specific part or function of GGIR. I imagine we can start with the worst function, such as [login to view URL] Another idea is that we start by first establishing contributor guidelines, which GGIR currently does not have. 2. Meeting to discuss your review and which part of the work you could do and what you need from me for. 3. You implement the agreed changes and create a pull request. If this goes well we can repeat these steps for more GGIR components in a follow-up consultancy project.
