Hi, I am looking for a Delphi component to be built to be able to use the libpostal C++ library from git hub (openvenues). I have tried to do some ground work myself and know there are C++ headers and DLL available. I am using 32 Bit Delphi 10.2 The ultimate goal will be able to be able to either have a unit or component available where I can use the address parse and dedupe logic functions built into libpostal and call these from a Delphi Unit. I am a fairly experienced Delphi Programmer but have little to no knowledge of C++ or C Sharp. I am aware also that there are Dot Net Versions of libpostal but I have been unable to get these to build or work successfully.

Hi, I'm an expert delphi programmer, with high skills in Delphi and C/C++, i live in France and work as a Software engineer. I analyzed the libpostal code source, as you said in the project description, the task will be to translate header to pascal, the libpostal.h is not a big file, so it ll not be a problem, the other solution is to use the .net binding, the advantage of this is that there is not header to translate, as it's a managed dll, you can load it directly in delphi, but the inconvenient, is that you have to register it first, and you ll have to include the .net dll and the native c dll, so 2 dlls, it ll be better to include the native dll and translate header, i can help you on that and finalize it in a short time. ok, i know how to build "libpostal" libraries, and wrap it into a "COM object" that registered in system. then, you could import it into any development platform, like delphi or dotnet, easily. please let me know. thanks.

Although I am a newbie in freelancer world, I have worked Delphi since 1997 with Delphi 3 until Delphi Rad Studio 10.2 now. This is an interesting project related with GIS. I worked with Mapinfo and Libpostal some time ago although we do not interface it with Delphi. There are of course non functional requirements not identified in your short proposal. Which framework do you prefer to use (VCL, FMX)? Do you need extended Unicode characters?. So, as a plus, I could model it before to start with UML class and scenarios diagrams in order to understand well all requirements you need. If you wish I can send my resume.
