Document API - POC

The POC will be written in C# (ideally .net core 2.0) Must use open source PDF/DOCX library. [login to view URL] [login to view URL] The goal of this POC is to build a set of APIs that can : 1. Import Document - Take the input of a file (Base-64 encoded or reference/URL) => write to Azure Blob, return the GUID 2. Retrieve Document - given the GUID. 3. Guess DocType: Given GUID - Read the Blob and perform type checking => return type of document. The logic of this method will be provided - most likely use of regular expression to search for certain characteristic of a document e.g. title or certain keywords. 4. Update DocType and properties: Given GUID - Update the type of document and other properties like Title, URL, ClientID, ClientCategory, ClientReference 5. Import Template - Take the input of a file or URL plus template properties => write Azure Blob, return GUID, write a record in Azure DocumentDB 6. CreateDocumentfromTemplate - take the input of templateID, list of parameters/placeholders ({{placeholdername}}) and replace it with the text supplied, write the new document in Azure blob db and return a new ID. 7. Image OCR - given a Base-64 encoded image or URL, extract the key fields within the OCR and convert it to a document for further processing e.g. through Guess DocType method. There is a simple web-based UI - written using ReactJS, Isomorphic plug-in to be supplied. [login to view URL] List of UI screens: - Browse Documents (ability to guess the type of document, edit doc properties, create folders/sub-folders) - Upload a new document (upload or specify URL and enter document properties) to a specific folder - Upload an image (JPG/PNG/TIFF/GIF) and extract text information into a document. Codes can be written to be tested locally using Azure DB emulator. So no need for hosting in Azure. However, for the final deployment, it will need to work on the Azure hosting.
