9. Add a useful key performance indicator (KPI) to your dashboard. (Note: One goal of this business is to have each order produce at least 35% profit.) To establish and show KPIs:

a. On a new worksheet, select Analysis, Create Calculated Field.

b. Name the field, KPI.

c. Type (or copy) the following logic for the KPI in the white area below the name:

If sum ([Order Profit Percentage]) > .35 THEN "Above Benchmark"

END

d. On the Marks card, from the first drop-down list (also known as the drop-down list of views), select Shape.

e. From the Measures pane, drag KPI to the Shape square.

f. Create a new text table that shows the KPI by order. To do so:

i. Drag the order number (ID field from the SALE AND PROFIT table) onto the Rows section.

ii. Drag the Customer Name to the Column section.

g. Click the Shape square, which will open the Edit Shape dialog box.

h. In the Edit Shape dialog box, make the following selections:

i. Under Select Shape Palette, select KPI.

ii. Under Select Data Item, select Above Benchmark, and then in the KPI palette, select the green check mark.

iii. Select Below Benchmark, and then select the red x.

iv. Click OK.

i. You now need to hide the text labels. On the Marks card, click Label, and in the drop-down control, clear the Show mark labels check box.

j. Create any other KPIs you think would be of value on your dashboard. For example, you could target revenues by year and compare to a given hypothetical projection.

10. Finalize your dashboard by checking all numbers and ensuring the presentation is professional and appealing. Then, save your work. To do so:

a. Hide all of the sheets except for the four dashboard pages.

b. Choose File, Save (or Save As) and give it an appropriate name.

Part 4: Test and Deploy the Dashboard

Test your dashboard thoroughly and have at least one other person verify both the design and the quantitative information. Remember, there is no one right dashboard. Each submission should reflect your own problem solving and critical thinking skills and should be unique. Iterate several times before your final submission and feel free to contact me with questions. Lastly, enjoy this project! I really think you will have fun while learning a valuable skill for use in your career. Be sure to upload your Tableau dashboard file to Moodle by the due date
