100ms is huge! You either have a severe logic problems in your code or it has nothing to do with code, but its rather a network latency problem. I could "maybe" help you by porting to WinSock2/IOCompletionPorts (multithreading), but 1. Are you sure this delay is caused by code, not by the network? 2. Have you profiled both network latency and code performance? 3. Can you tell me what sockets library are you using?
