Our chorus is A Cappella Texas and we are the Austin chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. This is our first time looking to start an annual Festival for the purpose of connecting performers in Austin Texas. The first year we see 8 to 16 acts on two alternating stages. Each act we envision as about 30 minutes. We see one of the two stages continuously active. As one stage is setting up for the next act the other stage goes active with a performance group. One stage is in a church community hall and the other nearby stage, also inside, is on the church's basketball courts. The acts will probably be mostly A Cappella groups composed of quartets and small choruses (20-40 people). However, we will also be looking to connect with other types of live performers, like violin or guitar groups or small performance ensembles. We are looking to get an estimate of the cost for sound support for an event like this.
