Hello all.
I have a website (hosted and built using Classic ASP) which connects to a remote SQL Server 2000 SP4 (in my server with Windows 2003 Server OS). The connection worked very well, but yesterday, after I re-installed the SQL Server 2000 with SP4, the website is not connecting anymore.
The SQL Server was re-installed using a different instance than the original one that worked before.
The error message returned is:
"Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'
[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Invalid Instance()).]Invalid connection."
Anyone who is skilled and experienced on this kind of connections is needed.
Thank you in advance.
The string connection I'm currently using is:
varCon.open = "PROVIDER=SQLOLEDB;DATA SOURCE='" & varServerIP & "';UID=" & Username & ";PWD=" & Password & ";DATABASE=" & varDatabaseName
