A finite element fracture mechanics technique to be applied for simulating creep fracture in alloy 617. The basic analytical approach should consists of determining values of the stress intensity factor 'K' from sequential linear elastic finite element solutions and to Investigate and evaluate time-dependent deformation (Creep) of this alloy as functions of temperature and applied load. A thorough result comparison of fracture configurations of variation of load, temperature, varied crack lengths, with introduction of circular flaws, variation in the dimension of flaws and crack propagation through the flaws to be performed.
Analysis to be done in Abaqus.
I have attached the framework alongwith.
