How long will it take you to finish the job? It will take 3 days to finish this job. Getting the scalar or the vector field in the format the visualizer / plotting program can understand would probably not take more than a couple of days. We might need an extra day to iterate on the outlook of the plotted results. Proposal: Visualizing our calculated results has been our daily work for almost three decades. We used FORTRAN77 and Fortran90 mostly. As plotting programs we have used GMV, Tecplot, Vis5D, gnuplot, PGPLOT, DISLIN, GLE, Geomview, thus I am familiar with working with these. I feel that there are two uncertainties associated to this job: (1) the complexity of the Fortran program which produces the results and (2) the complexity of the results. If the results only represent some scalar field, then this task is not difficult. If you want them overlapped with other kind of results (e.g., streamlines or a vector field), then it is somewhat more difficult, but not impossible at all. Kind regards, Franz
