Develop 3D Max Script

This project is to develop a script to auto align diamond stones(object) on a jewellery model and the spacing must be equal. A NON FLAT line will be selected to align the stones 90 degrees on the surface. The user will select the following 1. 3D line to auto align the object. The object must be attach on top of the surface 2. Number of stones 3. How deep the object will be put on the surface. I,E. 1mm inside the surface 4. How deep the teeth will go inside the stone 5.
