I am a sign language interpreter and for my work, need the best possible quality of audio and video, both in terms of what I receive and what others receive from me. I'm interpreting simultaneously live on Zoom, sometimes Adobe Connect or MS Teams.
I have invested in various pieces of tech to try to make that happen but still my input and output is not of the quality I am looking for. I need help to improve the latency of my internet connection, to improve my webcam and audio but I am a 'language person' not a 'tech person' and I need some advice.
I work with other BSL interpreters in Edinburgh and their video connections look very clear when mine does not, despite having a stable and good internet package from my service provider, Virgin, and no other internet users competing for bandwidth at home when I am working.
I am working with hardware (Audio/Video etc) for decades. Can offer some immediate recommendations to you considering good but reasonably priced items (if needed). The same goes for software since my wife works as online lecturer now and I was able to "refresh" a lot of know hows. Also I have my own interpreter's experience.
Can do this immediately.
