I currently work at a special school and have crudely developed a system that takes a multimedia assessment collection app (Evidence 4 Learning) and then processes the collected data through a weighted framework using Excel. We also provide students and parents with online resources and a navigation route through the curriculum using our website. Think of it like a learning Web or network. I need to develop a program which unifies all these strands and can be used across all the schools in our Trust and be sold to similar schools. So far I have created the the look of the user front end using a website builder and the processing functions using excel. The aim is to create a live and fully adaptable learning map that creates a visual profile of each student. The concept of weighting a curriculum and matching it to created aims is an original idea, not been done before but has had extremely positive feedback from all school advisers who have seen it.
