I was growing up at central Kolkata in 80`s... doing Yogasana ...writing and publishing Bengali little magazines... working as a travelling researcher ... exploring music with Darbesh and Baul communities ... seeing and listening to world classics films.... rearing my daughter Mela ... studying Linguistics at University of Calcutta ... learning French language at Alliance Française... Then in the year of 1995 a research work on tribal communities and indigenous technologies with Ministry of Social Welfare and Asiatic Society of India brought me closer to the nature and the aboriginal communities of rural Indis. As a being, curious in nature, the primordial understanding of my work of writing, photography and motion image is to connect with the unexpected... I will be very happy to work for you as it may allow me to be a part of that reality which can change to a better living condition for many with our earnest effort together.

“Sahana did a great transcription of Bangla to English, but unfortunately the dialect and language differences between her expertise and the characters in the video made the transcription extra difficult. For that reason we stopped the project early. But I'm still very satisfied with the transcription she did manage to finish despite the difficulties.”
