My current job entails facilitating the smooth running of the pre-production process, CRC files for printing. Editing books on different subjects. Responsible for content development, proofing and writing preface and back cover matter for covers. Reviewing and giving inputs on the content developed by a third party to maintain harmony across the series and look of the publication. Checking details to flag up every editorial and proofreading issue about grammar and spelling to deliver error-free work. Check and validate the facts in the books which have information based on history, general knowledge or statistics. Responsible to validate the PDFs after the editorial feedback/the DTP team carries corrections out. Understand and follow the trend and style that is being followed in a particular series to maintain accuracy in language and style consistency across the book. Give clear, accurate instructions or feedback to the other team members.
