Upon completing the 5 year bachelors in architecture program in 4.5 years at Iowa State University, a top 10 architecture school, I was hired to work remotely by a non-profit based in San Francisco and Boston, and a top architectural firm in Aspen, CO. The projects I have worked on range from shipping container homes to 60,000 square foot homes and working for a year in a photography studio during my studies. I have decided to freelance full time while staying on with the non profit. You will not be working with a busy 8-5'er (or even more likely a 8-7'er) who can only devote a few exhausted hours in the evening, or a sleepless design student more focused on their own project who may schedule you in sometime within an 18+ hour day. My services include the following: 3d Modeling/Drafting I have extensive experience with Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Sketchup, and Rhino Rendering Rendering skills learned and developed in architecture school have been put to the test and a keen interest to develop and push the boundaries. I strive for renderings which showcase the context and life of the project in order to sell the project itself. A beautiful sculpture of a building is useless to a client if it sits abandoned. Post-Production My 10+ years experience with Adobe Photoshop serves me well in giving some needed love and attention to renderings so they can truly sell a design or product. Anything is possible with Photoshop, a Wacom Tablet, and an open mind. Redlines A standard task in any design firm ripe for outsourcing. Please provide a clear description of the changes and be open for clarifications utilizing an instant messaging service of your choice, and off I go! Graphics and Layout This can range from sheeting up architectural drawings with your title page to creating brochures or sales pages. If the former I would use a CAD program of your choice, or if the latter with InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop, your choice and depends of desired file format. Texture Creation Another common design studio task ripe for outsourcing. Receive fully tile-able textures per your specs, colors, or images. Client need this stone, but with that color, and with this type of joint? Send it my way and receive options while your billable employee makes the client smile in some other more productive way. Internet Research Need a list of ArchiCAD/Revit/AutoCAD/Photoshop/etc/etc tutorials to train up staff? Want to know if there are any untapped markets or marketing opportunities in your area?
