Professional Writer known for her adaptability!

I am a professional writer located in Melbourne. Whilst my forte definitely lies within the spheres of academic, blog and letter writing, my highly adaptable writing style and ability to think on my feet means that this forte also extends to other writing niche's such as grant applications and essay writing. I also have a vast expanse of experience as a copywriter, journalist, social media and search engine optimization guru as well as data-input and data extraction. I also used to write for a few NGO's. After deciding to take some time off to refine my writing style and do a little more study within the field, I thought that I might offer my skills for some freelance work - with the (probably optimistic) hope that this might be able to support me financially until I decide exactly what writing field that I wish to embark on a career in. I look forward to hearing from you! Please do not hesitate to contact me if any further questions arise. Kind Regards, Lisa-Maree Goff

Experience

Resume and Cover Letter Writer

Rockingham Employment Services
Jan 2012 - Present
Currently I am employed to assist customers in writing and refining their personal resume's and cover letters - both tailored to particular jobs and 'general' CV's. This writing style requires me to adopt the persona of the customer and create a professional, yet personalized product. Sometimes this also requires writing of personal essays and short biographies.

Data Analyst and Input Manager

RAC
Jan 2015 - Jan 2016 (1 year)
To extract and input data between processing systems using csv. files. This role required me to act with the utmost integrity, honesty and confidentiality - something that I achieved successfully.

Marketing and SEO

HGC
Jan 2012 - Jan 2016 (4 years)
This role's predominant focus was on writing social media engagement posts that also had the additional benefit of search engine optimization. HGC is one of Australia's largest alternative retailers specialising in adult entertainment so this role was sometimes very colorful in nature and required me to completely seperate my writing from my personal moral compass. A task that I was able to do with success and ease.

Ovaries Before Brovaries

Rabelais Magazine
Column aimed at observing and evaluating all pertinent issues facing women in terms of equality in modern society. This column was a fun and quirky column, featuring witty rhetoric - delivered in a sarcastic tone. This was sometimes a hard framework to write too as the issues varied from being light-hearted to extremely concerning and important in nature.

The Gay Agenda

Rabelais Magazine
The Gay Agenda was a regular, recurring column during 2013 and 2014 in Rabelais Magazine. A queer-specific column that aimed at highlighting and discussing pertinent issues to the Australian and Global inter-sectional LGBTQI communities. This was inclusive of information for the wider heteronormative community, queer specific information and combined information for LGBTQI identifying individuals, sexually curious individuals and the wider public - sometimes delivered with a political lens.
