  Good morning, thank you very much for your participation, efforts, creativity and continuous involvement. The past few days we spent discussing where we want to go to with the design, and which current suggestion is closest to the specific needs including the additional ideas and showcases that were submitted along with the screen designs.
  
  Ultimately, we chose one design now, and will continue to refine this along with its HTML implementation. Special thanks go to the runners-up (in alphabetical order): Mentor, Murtaza, and Zarko. I will contact all three of you individually with a new idea.
  
  Thank you again. So many of you showed so much creativity and inspiration, tremendous talent, it was a real pleasure, and it was all but easy to let go of some of your fabulous designs.

  good morning! thank you everybody for your great designs. we have started the final round for discussions internally, and we will have to begin eliminating even some of the 5* rated designs now. we will continue accepting new designs until the end of the contest, though.

  yep... thanks for the rate. Next time contest holder should not mention anymore "uniq" in description, couse all what i see, is just simple baby draws ( maybe borrowed from somewhere), and Again, contest holder should know that CREATE/DESIGN/IMPLEMENT are fingers, that works as one hand.   good morning, it has been a difficult week for us - we had to eliminate a lot of very good entries. thank you for all your creative efforts, we truly appreciate them. currently, we have three categories of entries:
  1) 5* - so far only the company owners have been evaluating these entries. we can no longer do this ourselves as it has become too difficult. starting from now, two more staff (our brand manager, and one of our senior consultants) will join the jury team, and we will evaluate together.
  2) no ratings - we will continue evaluating them asap
  3) less than 5* - there is still potential here, but it may be that we reject them after commenting, waiting for the next version.

     HI, i was ranking 5 star and you guys evaluate me but its ok atleast you can tell me that whats wrong with my entry so i can give my best and improve but i am still working on a new design i'll be back with a boom in next 48hrs Thanks

     5* entries that have been rejected are not wrong - we simply evaluated them against other entries and decided that we cannot incorporate all ideas presented. as i said, we appreciate your creativity.

  Good morning, thank you for the excellent entries! We will not be closing the contest of course. Today, however, we will begin, in parallel, with the final sessions. All entries rated 5* will go through another careful selection process, and we may be eliminating some of them already. Tomorrow, we will also begin to remove those entries with 1 or 2 stars if no updates have been received. Thank you very much!

  We will not close the contest yet - not for long. We have a couple of 4* entries already, and they are very different from each other, impressive how much creativity is in you, thank you! )
  
  In a few days, I suppose we will summarise again and post what we liked in general, without ruining the creative spirit of those who came up with the idea first, and without putting those at an advantage who havent submitted anything yet - so it will be -really- general. Some ideas will, after all, not work with each template anyway.
  
  One important point for those who achieved 3 and 4 stars already: we need to understand some visual effects and ideas you have there, like mouse overs, fading in/out, colour matches for active pages, etc. You do not have to reproduce them, just indicate what you have in mind there.

  4) grey/black can be nice, but needs to have a specific purpose. a plain black or dark grey background is too much like a graveyard.
  5) the logo must stand out, it cannot vanish into the background.
  6) you can use additional ornamental effects such as circles with pics inside, or even line art/sketches somewhere as icons/navigation.
  7) the position of the social media buttons can be anywhere where you seem fit, they dont need to be too prominent either.

  good morning! thank you for your entries so far! we have now 3 entries with 3* each, followed by several with 2 stars and 1 star. all of them still have potential. what we understand better now, and what i want to share with you to assist you in your efforts (hope it really helps!)
  1) the blue of the logo can be changed, and probably will have to be changed. its not really a typical natural stone colour, so better go with something that IS.
  2) the buttons, markers, etc, will then have to follow the logo colour, most likely
  3) it is important to indicate any visual effects such as 3D lines, separators, overlapping areas, etc.

     this is a sort of "gallery" of nice pictures of what you can do with natural stone, e.g. exterior areas like around the pool, terrace tiles, a complete building, or interior areas such as floors or bathroom tiles, etc.

  good morning. thanks for the current entries. in general, they are what we consider a decent start. we understand it is not an easy task. what all entries so far are lacking is this touch of being something special and outstanding. a visitor will have the feeling of "nice, but just another natural stone website".

  Hi Sunny, thank you for your feedback. We have run 2 contests before - one was cancelled because the winner used clipart; in the second we looked more carefully from the beginning, and I believe that the reputable community in that contest will agree when I say that we rejected copcycats immediately. It will be the same here. I agree that this is a bigger challenge than a direct contract, especially because all entrants need to make a real effort, on the other hand we are also convinced that the prize offered is a fair one for the work to be done - the winner can expect more jobs as follow up

     Have no doubts people, I fully vouch for CH, he held two outstanding contests, was very involved, correct and fair. It was by far one of the best contests in a while, a pleasure to participate and I'm sure this one will be too so designers should have no worries.
     I'd also like to thank CH for inviting me. Although I haven't been into web layouts a lot if any concepts pop up I'll be sure to get in.

     clearly upper medium to luxury. the content is now being compiled, so are the pictures. you may use placeholders (stock images if you need) to demonstrate design. in the real version we will be using exclusively our own images (i.e. those we shot ourselves or those that we contracted from our suppliers, such as factory images, etc)

     We dont know yet. The HP will not be app-heavy, so we may be using any sort of CMS, bootstrap, in combination with cake or similar, etc. This contest is not about HTML/CSS/JS, however, you do not need to worry about this. If your question relates to something else, please let me know.

  the brand name is in the logo (sorry, typo in the filename): Kallisthos - The Natural Stone Company. Colours, etc: up to your discretion, no screaming colours, they need to match the subject (natural stone...)

  Alright, apologies for being so up front and direct, but entries #1, #2, and #3 are useless. They do not incorporate any ideas we presented as fundamentals in our project description, which you seem to have not read at all. There is no effort in these entries, and I have no idea what to do with them. If you want at least a remote chance at being considered, then please make sure you read the project description and looked at the supplied images. We will not comment on entries where I dont recognise anything related to our brand at all - these entries will simply be rejected.

     Hello CH, well I also just checked out the current entries and agree with you on those being completely irrelevant and useless.
     
     A contest for a website design is something where the designer needs some time to do a research for your business industry type and then incorporate his/her ideas.
     
     I don't mostly work on Freelancer, but just saw your contest and have gathered interest because the details and wireframes are helpful explanation from you.
     
     I can design completely new and custom website design for your Natural Stone Company, but not sure to put so much efforts as this is a "contest" and many participants will be uploading their entries from copy / pasting or modifying generic templates.
     
     So if you want, I can show real live production website designs projects which I have done, and then we can discuss. I am sure you will get amazed from my work.

  we do not need working HTML/CSS/JS, only the screen design. You can provide it in all typical formats (PSD, AI, ...)
