Contest Brief

Hey, we are an independent band (UPSIDE OF MAYBE) looking for someone to design a photo that we can use for an album cover. The project is called "Pretty Much Drives Itself" and we are looking for a photo of a VW van or VW Bug with cartoon versions of the band members either inside or hanging off etc. We can add the actual text etc later... just looking for the main picture. There are 5 band members. I have included a photo here for some ideas, but we are not looking for a copy of it and don't need any lettering on the vehicle. I have also thrown in a photo of the band members. Their instruments (left to right) are drums, guitar, lead vocals, bass and keyboard/accordion (if that helps with the creative juices). Instead of a VW vehicle, the shot could also include a cartoonic version of the guys driving the vehicle in the photo. The shot could also be a head on perspective as well... Would also be cool if one of the guys was holding a small Canadian flag out the window... but again, not necessary. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.       Ideally square and in a .png format, but they can work with pretty much anything if we like it. :-)

      Hey Ram... I will get the dimensions from the folks that will put it together, but basically we will be looking for something that is higher quality digitally that won't pixilate when we use it online or for posters etc. Definitely have some fun elements... a bit of a hippie/folk look is cool and some "motion" (perhaps someone flying off the vehicle or just hanging on with one hand as they hit a pothole or speed bump?) Lots of room to be creative.

      So they are telling me that .png format works best but that they can pretty much work with anything. Ideally a square shape with highest quality you can do. Sorry... you can probably tell I'm a bit out of my depth here. :-)
