Contest Brief

I am looking for an illustration (colour or black and white) that could possibly be used as part of a book cover in 2018.

The Character should be a strong male in his forties, grizzled who has begun to transform into a woodlike creature. The wood should be dead looking (whiteish with cracking) and he should look menacing. There should be spindly limb like protrusions that snap easily like dry wood behind him (perhaps like a porcupine but this is open to your imagination)

You can show him more man or more treelike creature as per your choice. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with.

For the future, I advise you to check the artworks for originality first if you dont want troubles with copyrights. For examle entry #3 is just a horizontaly flipped artwork of Alex Negrea
