Contest Brief

I need a cover for a middle grades (3rd-5th grade) book that shows two 9-year old African American sisters who hate each other.

*One sister is very athletic, confident, and is always smiling, but some people might consider her fake or phony. She is very meticulous in the way she dresses, and always has neatly styled hair (maybe two french braids with a ribbon). She wears pink heart earrings and a matching heart necklace.
*The other sister can be very mopy, cries easily, and thinks no one understands her. She wears her thick hair pulled back in a messy ponytail.

To show their intense sibling rivalry, I would like something more than just having them posed back to back, but it's important that both of their faces are very detailed and clear.

UPDATED: This will be a double-sided book- one side will have one sister's version, and the second side will have the other sister's version. How might you adapt your cover so that it can be used for both sides?

3rd-5th graders? not to be mean but these seems out of touch. these look like toddler books? Kids that age are reading Narnia and the "I survived" series.
