Contest Brief

I would like a Hollywood style Movie Poster for “City of Vultures II,” an indie crime drama movie (like an urban Breaking Bad or The Wire)" If you google "Movie Poster" you can get the general idea.

The lead character is Richard Steele know on the streets as “G” played by Marcus Carothers. “G” is the leader of the Vultures, a violent Chicago gang. He fights other drug dealers for control of the city, uprisings within the Vultures, a crazy baby mama, and corrupt police.

He will stop at nothing to control everything so he can eventually bring peace to this violent city and protect his family, especially his young son Malik (played by Harper Anthony).

The setting is the ghetto streets of Chicago; lots of graffiti, violence, drugs, gangs and garbage.


1) Size: Traditional size is 27" x 40”
2) Final poster should be a photoshop .psd file with 3 layers (1. Titles and text, 2. artwork, 3. credits) (I need to be able to edit because actors are always demanding credit changes so it is easiest if the credits are on a separate layer.)
3) Title: City of Vultures II
4) Additional Text: A Marcus Carothers Film
5) Additional Text (optional): To be aware is to be alive.
6) If photo chosen for artwork has 2 actors (adult and boy), the poster should highlight the names of the actors somewhere: Marcus Carothers, Anthony Harper
7) Credits should be added at the bottom. Poster should be vertical.
