BRIEF:
Graphic illustration of old school yellow NYC taxi with words “In taxi, I am free.” See style references below. Deliverables PSD/AI

HOW I’lLL USE IT: I’m going to screen print a 18x18 inch throw pillow

THE STORY:
This is a gift for my older brother (I drew him in our family’s Secret Santa), who has recently started his own business - a dream of his to work for himself, that benefits his community, and is a huge passion project that utilizes his skills and a lifetime of work experiences. I am so proud of what he has accomplished.

The story behind the phrase “In Taxi, I Am Free” goes back to an inspirational taxi encounter I had. Last year, I was about to leave my job to switch careers. While still at my former job, I was taking a taxi from my office to the dentist. The driver was telling me why he loves being a taxi driver, how long he’d been doing it, the benefits it afforded him, the opportunity it gave him, and why it made him happy. He said, simply, “In Taxi, I Am Free”. This notion of freedom, of empowerment, of ambition resonated with me and his story is one I shared with my brother. This silly statement became our inside joke and cheering-on of the other as we both embarked on new career journeys.

I am looking for someone to illustrate the taxi and set the type with it, and hand over PSD/AI files for me to print.
