Contest Brief

Malabar is an Australian financial planning business which provides advice to clients online and over the phone. Our ideal client is young individuals without substantial savings that have a goal and want to make the best of their situation.

Our tagline: Promoting Financial Independence. The tagline should not overlap the logo or other graphics. I'd like for this to be in cursive writing - I don't mind the following fonts: Loopi, Edwardian Script, Venezio, Wellington, Zapfino. It would be preferable if the writing was cursive (connected, looks like handwritten).

The Malabar is a Chestnut tree which is referred to as a money tree. It is a symbol of luck and and has five branches braided together - representing the 5 elements (fire, water, earth, metal, wood) - try to incorporate these 5 colours in the design. Incorporate a red ribbon to 'pull' the elements all together or used in the tag line.

I have attached a mock-up of the logo, but am leaving it open for any creative ideas.

We are looking for the whole suite of Corporate Identity graphics:

- Logo (square or rectangular with a maximum of 1:3 height:width ratio)
- Favicon
- Business card (template only, details to be filled in later. Include phone, email, address,
- Letterheads (A4, header and footer separated)
- Envelopes (C5)
- Cover page (full A4, portrait and landscape)
- With compliments slips

Extra points for business cards that stick out, I want people to be interested enough to keep and share them!

All graphics are to be provided in vector format (AI for example) as well as png with transparent background.

The addition of a red 'ribbon' (see contest brief) may be beneficial to make the logo more fluid. With the 5 original colour, feel free to brighten/ darken it (as long as it is still identifiable) to make it more a life. Thanks.

Please do not forget the tagline (cursive/ like a signature design) for each submission. Another most import item is the font-family used for "Malabar", I would love to see some outside the box/ edgy idea. Thanks.
