Contest Brief

I need an interior design for a cake, coffee, ice cream, shakes and sandwiches shop. Our target audience are youth and families. We make customized cakes for every occasion and also have various pastries, cup cakes, macaroons..etc for people to dine-in or take away. Shop's name will be "Love Sugar & Dessert" (short-form: LSD). The shop size is around 167 sqmts (17.3 x 9.6 mts). Horizontal entrance is 9.6 mts left to right and Vertical depth of the shop is 17.3 mts. Our main highlight will be exotic cakes displayed in the bar counter (preferably L shaped) on the left side of the outlet and dine-in tables on the right side. Inside will be kitchen facility with oven, microwave, griller, freezer, planetary mixer, refrigerator, exhaust hood. Kitchen will be divided into 2 sections hot section and cold section. Kitchen would take about 30-35% of the total area and the balance will be cake/coffee bar and the dine-in area. Behind the coffee bar should be the coffee and shakes menu display.

The 3D design should include, interior design of the shop, kitchen and display board. The interior should be in harmony with the colors, furniture, texture...etc.

I am not looking for a logo design. I need a shop design. This shop is in a shopping mall. We want to give our outlet a feeling of a garden interior. When people sit in our cafe they should feel that they are sitting in an outdoor garden. Lighting should be warm not bright. Similar to an evening sit out arrangement in the garden. We will serve pastries and coffee in our cafe. Our entrance will be open with no doors. It will be a direct walk-in for people walking in the mall. Display counter will be on the left of the entrance for people to see while they are walking in the mall. Sitting area will be on the right side and kitchen will be inside.

Most elegant design and theme of the shop will be crowned the winner of the project.

I am attaching the LOD of the shop. In addition, some pictures from the net on the kind of display counter that I am looking for. But all of it depends on the theme of the store. I have also uploaded 2D images of the shop model made by a friend. If you can enhance it with 3D and appropriate furniture, it'll be great too. If you have a better idea for the interior, then we are open to see them. Please note that the 2D images show that the shop is open from 2 sides but it is not. The entrance is only one.

Also, attached are pictures of the existing candy shop that is being dismantled and we will take over this shop with our design and layout.
