Write an article on how our company participated in a charity event
- Status: Closed
- Prize: $70
- Entries Received: 19
- Winner: rwilsher
Contest Brief
I require an article written about how our company participated in a charity event/cause. It will then be placed onto the blog section of a charity site, so it will need to be of good quality.
The article will be between 300-400 words.
Experienced writers only,please.
I don’t want a writer who will write in a direct essay/report format without thinking about the flow/tone. It should fit in with the blog sections of a charity website like the examples here, http://goo.gl/0A49n3 and http://goo.gl/vezTJn .
As you can see in the links, its not boring sounding which just narrates the event, it includes statements and other context relevant to to the topic. So some creativity will need to be used.
Please open topic.docx to see information see the company name and the type of charity event it will be so you know what to write on.
Please see badexample.png image to see the type of article I don’t want, if you compare it with the 2 links I sent above, you can see they’re clearly different.
Budget is $70 which I think is fair.
If you have any questions, please message me and I will reply when I am available, good luck!

In my proposed submission, you're just participants. Is that so? Or were you co-organisers or even the organisers? That's the only thing keeping me from submitting. Thanks.

Hi, Sorry I think I accidentally deleted my 3rd draft #18 and then resubmitted it (trying to view it from my phone was a bad idea) so if you had feedback for that article it may need to be placed again - apologies for the disruption. Ryan

Hello,I just saw your contest and the files you have uploaded,topic.docx. It only contains the company's name and the name of the charity and its venue. This information is not sufficient to write a full fledged article. Will you please provide important information (quotes, venue, date)?

Which information do you require apart from this? If you look at rjmconne and haryfisher's entry you can see theyre on the right track.

Hi, just to clarify - is the example attachment you provided the same event your organization participated in? Also, you did not provide details about the event and your organization (if different from the example), e.g. date, venue, what the charity does, info about your organization, why you participated, and any quotes that can be included. Thanks.

in regards to Entry #3 of 3 - as you can see its not quite like the original articles i posted in the job description, hence i gave it a 2 stars. It doesnt contain any speeches either, it also looks a bit chunky.
