I have in my work experience worked as an Intern in the Corporate Affairs department at Barclays Bank of Uganda, as a permanently employed Customer Advisor with Barclays Bank of Uganda, as a Lead Generator Operations Officer, as a Credit Risk Officer and as a Credit Risk Authorizer with Barclays Bank of Uganda and currently as the People Manager for Crediting and Collection Payments team in the Credit Operations department with Absa Bank Uganda. I also had a three months’ attachment opportunity in the Sourcing department. This experience coupled with my research experience, my Project Manager qualification, agility, training and mentoring, has enabled me to develop skills that have prepared me for administration, operation and leadership, dealing with diversity and uphill career challenges for which I am prepared to take on. With this practical experience coupled with the virtues of honesty and integrity, my skills in leading and influencing others have greatly enhanced and put to the test as I have managed to handle a team of over 30 people effectively. As a banker, I have come to appreciate the time-tested value of stewardship, confidentiality and attention to detail, a credit that I can bring with me to the team. I am an ardent believer in teamwork, as I believe in the principle of the synergies that teams have the potential to produce. less
