I would like an Android App predominantly for data collection purposes and for use on android tablets. I am already using an App that is probably 80% suitable but I need a few more functionalities than the one already available. It is almost like a spreadsheet, but where the fields have been pre-specified.
The App must have the following abilities:
Data collection:
I must be able to create one or more forms in the app.
I must be able to specify the different fields against which data can be entered to create the specified form. For each field where data will be entered against, I must be able to select the input data type.
The data input type must include: Text, numbers, date & time (to be input automatically from device - should be able to select if I only want the date or only the time as well as the format e.g. ddmmyyyy or ddmmyy and 12 hour or 24 hour clock etc), barcode or QRcode (this must bring up the barcode or QR reader), photo, image attachment.
There should also be the ability to use a drop down list to select pre-set options in a specific field.
Once the data has been entered, it should be able to be exported when the tablet has internet access. It is preferable to to be able to export it into a spreadsheet format where the data can easily be uploaded into a database. You should be able to set a default e-mail address for export.
Each form created should be able to be locked so that inadvertent changes to the structure of the form can be prevented.
As this App is specifically for data collection and management for clients I would like to be able to customise the app name (not the icon) to suit the needs of the client. The client should also be able to download more than one customised app onto the tablet (the names will differ as well as the forms but the icon won't).
Is there a way to lock the app provided on an annual basis and unlock it using a password that expires annually and through the provision of a new password?
I don't know if I have covered everything, but I think that is mostly it.
