Arduino/Netdunio 3-Phase Energy Meter Shield (3x ADE7753 or ADE7758)
€750-1500 EUR
Paid on delivery
Our goal is to make a 3-phase energy monitoring circuit using 3x the ADE7753 or the ADE7758 multiphase IC). The layout of the board should be compatible to current Ardunio/Netdunio Plus 2 shields and include all circuits (Voltage/Current transformers (or shunts), voltage dividers) to monitor the real time energy consumption/production along a power line. Thus it can roughly be compared to the MCI Engery Shield.
Currently we prefer 3x ADE7753, as according to the specs the ADE7758 single-chip solution depends on three working power lines, but we expect a lot of situations where not all power line might be fully operational.
The project will consist of two major parts:
1. HARDWARE
A circuit needs to be designed that utilizes the ADE77xx, transformers and/or shunt resistors. This circuit should then use the SPI interface to send data to the Arduino/Netduino.
2. ARDUINO/NETDUNIO CODE
The embedded software will also calibrate the the ADE77xx so that the measured data is accurate. Wether it will be done for an Ardunio or an Netdunio Plus 2 is not important. But be would prefer the last ;)
