I want a website where people who have vacation homes (outside of Canada) can list their places for rent with me to specifically attract Canadians as their renters. There should be an easy search (by country then city, etc) option and a mapping system similar to airbnb along with an option to filter by availability with respect to dates, bedrooms, washrooms and amenities. People should be able to register so that they can be emailed rentals as they are listed. Then, eventually, after we work together for a little while, this website would expand in complexity as the client list (landlord list) grows.
I know that there are hundreds of apartment rental websites, so I'm just looking for something simple to start with which would identify what I am doing and who I am.
About me: I am a licensed realtor (real estate salesperson) in Toronto, Canada and want to emphasize the safety and trust that goes with hiring a licensed professional (and Canadian) to handle their vacation rental property and that I would personally verify the identity of anyone wanting to rent an apartment. Last but not least, I'm also a landlord myself and fully understand the concerns and potential problems that landlords experience, so owners can feel comfortable that I know what their concerns will be.
I have registered a dot com and dot ca domain. I would like to get, at least, a splash page with logo up by July 20th as that is when I am taking my first marketing trip to meet new clients. If the basic website can be up by then, I would be very happy.
