I am wanting to create an application for an andriod 2.2 tablet PC
The application will take data from a TCP socket and display the contents in this android app.
The data to be read by the socket will be from an RFID reader which is connected to a wi-fi router. The android tablet is also connected to the same wi-fi router.
I have a php site that currently displays the data from the wi-fi RFID reader
The task is to create an application that will display the contents of the RFID reader socket and display it in the android app.
The app will establish connection with the socket on the appropriate IP address (these will be fixed) and the data output into the socket is in a simple format (card UID, card type etc) This is already created as an output.
On detecting the change of data through the socket, the app will pass the new data to the php site so the app musty be capable of detecting change of data through the socket.
The android app should then pass this string to a control on a web page and the web page will then be updated (as it is now)
I have seen code for these basic tasks so I do know that its standard stuff.
Creating functionality is more important that a fancy GUI at this stage
