Automated Posting of Content to Site(s)

I need to be able to post content in an automated fashion using server-based software. If this can be done using Javascript, that would be my strong preference. Here is an example of what I mean by post content -- there are forum sites, online community sites and social network sites that allow for posting status updates. I need to be able to have the script post a status update to one specific site in particular: [url removed, login to view] . Depending on the low-cost, fast and efficient success of this project, I will most likely want to have the script work for other sites. I need this script developed, tested and delivered ASAP.
